Of all the whiskeys I've sampled, Maker's Mark is my favorite. It is warm, slightly sweet, but also dark, smokey and goes down smooth.
And if you're going to have a Manhattan, always ask for Maker's. There really is no other way.
I'd like to give props to a fine company who still distills each batch by hand and uses techniques not available to other makers. It has yet to disappoint.
