One of my girlfriends had a birthday party at Venom a couple weeks ago. I am not usually huge on the scene at the Belltown clubs but it was a birthday. The place was a new low even for that area!

We had to wait in line even though we were on "VIP," once we were checked in we had to be checked with a handheld metal detector, all 15 girls in cocktail dresses! Once we got in we were led to our "VIP" table we found that we actually didn't even have a table, just two of the many couches sandwiched together by the entrance.
Almost before we sat down the cocktail waitress came over and insisted to the birthday girl that she needed a credit card for the table and we needed to order at least $200 of alcohol on it or we would have to give up our table!

When one of the many club promoters came over and wished my friend a happy birthday and insisted he buy everyone shots, only when they came they were mostly water. Every time we went to try and dance we were practically attacked by guys from behind and it was so crowded you could barely move. The trek back to the "VIP table" took so long we ended up just sitting most the time.

After a while we all got bored and caught a cab to Chinatown for some late night Chinese. Hoho in Chinatown...now that was a cool place!

I've been there a few times and didn't really like it. Never got watered down drinks but it was always really crowded and the atmosphere was pretty trashy.

Sounds like a nasty place, but you can't expect much from Seattle nightclubs...it's not Vegas or anything!

Sounds like a lousy place. I hate getting attacked by guys from behind when I go clubbing. This place is definitely on my list of places to avoid. Any places girls attack from behind?

Clubbing is pretty much off my radar, but its a bummer to learn that places like this exist. Considering people attend them for the intentions of having fun and socializing. A business is one thing, but standards for spending, this high, I'd never go back.

Thanks, ya the Chinese was awsome. I guess there are a couple restaurants that are open until 2am to serve the clubbing crowd, and there is nothing like Chinese after drinking and dancing.
